Online payments are processed using Stripe. Payment information is entered into Stripe’s secure payment environment. We do not ordinarily receive or store your complete payment-card details, although we may receive limited transaction information such as payment status, payment method and transaction reference.

Delivery information

For furniture and other large items, delivery may be completed by our own delivery team. Smaller parcels may be delivered by An Post.

We may process and share the recipient’s name, delivery address, telephone number, order details and relevant access instructions where necessary to complete delivery.

Please avoid providing unnecessary sensitive information in delivery instructions.

Communications

We may retain messages and information you provide when you contact us through our website, by email, telephone, social media or in person.

Marketing information

If you subscribe to our newsletter or agree to receive promotional communications, we may collect your email address, marketing preferences and information about your interaction with our emails.

Our email marketing services are currently provided through Mailchimp.

CCTV operates at our retail premises for security, safety and the prevention and detection of crime. CCTV may record images of customers, visitors, employees and other persons entering or moving around the monitored areas.

Appropriate signs are displayed at monitored premises.

  • order, invoice, payment and accounting records: generally six years, or longer where legally required;

  • delivery, return, refund and warranty records: for the applicable contractual, warranty or legal period;

  • customer enquiries and routine correspondence: normally up to two years after the matter is closed, unless longer retention is justified;

  • marketing information: until consent is withdrawn, the individual unsubscribes or the information is no longer required;

  • consent and opt-out records: for as long as reasonably necessary to demonstrate and respect the individual’s choice;

  • website analytics information: according to the retention settings of the relevant service; and

  • CCTV footage: normally retained for up to 30 days and then automatically overwritten or securely deleted, unless specific footage must be retained for longer in connection with an incident, investigation, insurance matter, legal claim or request from An Garda Síochána.

We may retain information for longer where a dispute, complaint, legal claim, regulatory request or investigation is ongoing.

11. CCTV at Our Stores

CCTV is used for the legitimate purposes of:

  • protecting customers, staff, premises and property;

  • promoting health and safety;

  • preventing and detecting theft, fraud and other unlawful activity; and

  • investigating incidents, complaints and insurance claims.

Access to CCTV footage is restricted to authorised persons and, where appropriate, authorised security or technical service providers.

CCTV footage is normally retained for up to 30 days and is then automatically overwritten or securely deleted. Specific footage may be retained for longer where necessary in connection with an incident, investigation, insurance matter, legal claim or request from An Garda Síochána.

Footage may be disclosed to An Garda Síochána, insurers, legal advisers or other authorised parties where there is a lawful and proportionate reason to do so.

CCTV is not intended to be used for unnecessary or excessive monitoring.

We use appropriate organisational and technical safeguards designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access.

These measures may include:

  • access controls;

  • secure payment processing;

  • staff access restrictions;

  • appropriate service-provider arrangements; and

No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If we become aware of a personal-data breach, we will assess and manage it in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Our website and services are not directed at children.

Online purchases must be made by a person aged 18 or over. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian should place the order on your behalf.

Stripe and other security providers may use automated tools to assess payments, prevent fraud or identify suspicious activity. Their processing is governed by their applicable privacy information and legal obligations.

16. Third-Party Websites and Social Media

Our website may contain links or embedded content relating to third-party websites or social-media services, including Instagram.

We do not control the privacy practices of independent third parties. You should review their privacy information before providing personal data or interacting with their services.

Where an embedded service uses non-essential cookies or tracking technologies, it should remain disabled until the required cookie consent has been obtained.
